BELIEFS
“Dialogue is a
program dedicated to the belief that God has spoken truthfully
with the most intelligent of His earthly creatures, man.” So
says announcer Paul Sublett in introducing each radio
broadcast of Dialogue. But this is only one of the
foundational beliefs to which all those involved in Dialogue
Ministries subscribe. We also believe that God’s truthful
speaking is contained in the Bible, that this is a complete
and perfectly inspired work, and that all true faith comes by
hearing what it has to say. God has promised that His Word
will not return to Him void, but that it will accomplish that
which He pleases, and that it will prosper in the thing
whereto He sends it (Isaiah 55: 11).
Believing these things has a wonderfully-freeing and
energizing effect upon us. We do not have to struggle to work
up fancy programs or gimmicks to get people to listen and
respond to our message. All we have to do is give out the
Word, precept upon precept, line upon line, and leave the
results up to the Lord. That is, in fact, what we have been
doing for more than 20 years. In that time, we have never had
to plead for money. The Lord has shown Himself
faithful in supplying all our needs.
Further, we believe:
-
Salvation is by
grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, who
died for our sins according to the scriptures, was buried, and
rose again the third day according to the scriptures (I Cor.
15: 3, 4).
-
He is coming
back again for His church, which will experience a pre-tribulational
rapture and will never see the great coming judgment of God
upon this rebellious world.
-
God will fulfill
all His promises to His earthly people, Israel, and that they
shall inhabit the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
during the millennial earthly reign of Jesus Christ.
-
Dispensationalism is the only proper way to understand and
interpret scripture.
-
Where the Lord
hasn’t clearly spoken, He has left His people free to live
their lives to His honor and glory, and with the constraints
of Moses’ Law.
The foregoing is by no means an exhaustive statement of the
beliefs of the Dialogue staff. For those who wish to learn
more about us, and about the truths we feel called to share,
we invite you to enter into dialogue, as we openly discuss the
foundations and principles of God’s Word.
